Cân y coed, meaning “song of the wood” in Welsh was founded in 2025.
Can y Coed was founded by a GP living in the beautiful Welsh countryside, alongside her husband, two young children, and a much-loved, fluffy old spaniel. On days away from clinical practice, willow weaving became a mindful refuge — a flowing, hands-on craft that brings calm and a deep connection to traditional skills shared across cultures and generations.
More recently, Can y Coed welcomed Caroline to the team. A mother to two young children, Caroline has a deep passion for weaving, growing vegetables, and working close to nature. With a background as an occupational therapist, she brings a thoughtful, people-centred approach to making, learning, and wellbeing. Together, we create and teach with willow, inviting others to slow down, reconnect with nature, and find joy in mindful craft.
